Summer Camp 2015

kerr
We will be returning to Kerr Scout Ranch at Slippery Falls for summer camp this year for the first time since 2012. Dates are June 7-13th.
Cost for summer camp this year:
  • Scouts: $275
  • Adults: $175
A deposit of $100 per camper is due by Feb. 27th to reserve your spot. If we have our deposits paid by March 1st, we can begin signing up for merit badge classes then – which should help ensure that everyone gets the class they want.
The rest of the summer camp fee is due by May 1st.
You can plan to sign up and make your payments during the troop meetings on Feb. 16th and Feb. 23rd. As always, you can use your Scout Account to cover summer camp fees if you like.

Christmas Party

christmasparty1

Monday night, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m. is our annual Troop Christmas Party.

 Food

The Troop will purchase pizza for dinner, and we would like for parents to bring a variety of goodies. That could be cookies, brownies, fudge or whatever you are famous for. Please reply back and let us know what you will bring.

Gift Exchange

The Scouts will play “Dirty Santa,” so everyone should bring a $10 gift sealed up in a gift bag. Adults can play too, as long as you bring a gift. Please note that “Dirty Santa” gifts are not the same as “white elephant” gifts. In other words, no gag gifts. It should be Scouting-appropriate, but beyond that, the sky (and $10) is the limit.

What to wear

Uniform for the evening is Class B (Troop t-shirt or sweatshirt, Scout shorts, belt, socks). There will be a Christmas sweater contest, to be judged by the senior leadership Scouts. If you dress for the contest, you can forego the Class B. If you are not participating in the contest, then it’s Class B for you.

What time?

We will start at 7 p.m. Please note that that is different than our normal meeting time of 7:30 p.m. You can come at 7:30, but all the pizza will probably be gone.

What else?

Be prepared to have fun!
